Metrolink train hits tractor-trailer at Anaheim station, damages mirror

At least 30 people were injured and one person may have died after a Metrolink train struck a vehicle in Ventura County early Tuesday morning.

ANAHEIM A Metrolink train collided with a tractor-trailer at the Anaheim Canyon station according to authorities.

The collision was reported around 8 a.m.occurred near the intersection of Jefferson Street and Miraloma Avenue, said Anaheim police Sgt.Daron Wyatt. The collision appeared to be minor and no one was injured, he said.

The train struck the end of the tractor-trailer, which was attempting to clear the tracks, said Scott Johnson, a spokesman for Metrolink. A mirror was damaged on the locomotive.
