ENID, Okla. — A 94-year-old Braggs woman was injured Wednesday evening when her vehicle struck a parked and unoccupied semi in Hitchcock, according to an Oklahoma Highway Patrol report.
The collision occurred at 8:18 p.m. at County Road 2610 and Main Street, according to an OHP report. Charleyne Meier was transported by personal vehicle to Mercy Hospital in Watonga and was transferred by Lifeguard EMS to OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City. Meier was admitted in stable condition with head, trunk internal, trunk external and leg injuries.
According to the patrol, Meier was driving a 1995 Nissan Frontier southbound on County Road 2610 and was looking in her vehicle for something when the vehicle departed the road to the right and struck a parked 2002 Peterbuilt semi.
Meier’s condition is listed as “apparently normal” and the cause of the collision is listed as “inattention: other distraction inside vehicle.” Meier was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the collision. Score: enidnews.com
